A Note From Your Host, Megan
My name is Megan, and my love story with the island of Holbox began in September 2009. It was love at first sight, the soft white sand, the calm turquoise waters, the vibrant local community, and the incredible food. It was everything I had dreamed of since childhood.
In 2010, a dear friend and I found a little piece of paradise and built two identical homes side by side. By mid-2011, our dream took shape, right here on this magical beach.
Years later, in November 2018, I became the sole owner and named the villa
Casa Mariposa, The House of Butterflies
— in loving memory of my mother.
The butterfly, to me, symbolizes freedom, peace, and transformation, all qualities this island inspires.
My deepest wish is that you celebrate life’s special moments here, surrounded by family, friends, and the beauty of nature. You are not strangers in this home, but friends sharing in its spirit.
