Traveling to Holbox by Car Rental from Cancun
Driving Directions:
Take the free road from Cancun toward Merida. Drive approximately 30 minutes to Leona Vicario. Continue 15 minutes past the village to Valladolid Nuevo, then turn right at the sign for Holbox onto the Chiquilá road. You’ll pass through Kantunilkin, San Angel, and Solferino before arriving in Chiquilá. Travel time from Cancun’s hotel zone is about 3 hours; from downtown Cancun, it’s about 2 hours and 30 minutes.
